How do I remove oil paint from metal?

Question:

Answers:
that previous answer is wrong seeing as paint thinner is for latex paint. you need to get mineral spirits or what i would recomment is jasco. it is a really good stripper-you can find that at lowes-just make sure you get one that is for oil paint. most of the jasco products you dont even have scrape. another alternative is getting a heat gun and scraping the remains off. good luck.

chemical paint stripper and a puddy knife
Yup mineral spirits by Jasco from Lowes would have been my answer too. Seems Lowes has everything.
1. Turpentine or any oil based solvent.
2. Torch (burn it off)
3. Scraper or wire brush with a lot of elbow grease.
Take your pick, depending on how much needs to be removed and what your doing after the paint is removed.
