How can u put an air conditioner in a basement? is it possible?

Question:a few basements have small windows...mine does not....but it does have an entrance from the front yard

Answers:
I would not use an air conditioner. I would use a dehumidifier, basically will do the same thing(remove humidity). An air conditioner will just cost more energy to run.

Its just a matter of finding how to run the duct work.u can run it up thru the floor into another room, Or u can buy one of the portable units that come with a flex house and snake it out.
yes
Maybe you can install the window unit in the wall next to that entrance ( cut out the hole).
Air conditioners use the principle of removing warm air from the space you desire to "cool". Most homes have two units, an outside unit housing the condensing coils and compressor, and an inside unit housing the evaporator coil and the blower that circulates the air into the room(s) to cool.

These units, the outside and inside, need only two very small copper tubes to exchange the refrigerant from one to the other, and usually an even smaller thermostat wire. The small tubes and wire can be placed through a small hole you can drill through the basement wall, eliminating the need for a window, or blocking the entrance.
