Does anyone have old but good lumber for building to give away that is close to tennessee?
Question:I am building a house and a garage and am in need of lumber in good shape either to give away or for cheap.

Check a local builders salvage yard. Yes there are some around and carry new lumber and plumbing stuff along with so so much more for builders, home owners and contractors. I'm from Western Northa Carolina And I know theres on In Lenoir, NC. Its about 3-4hrs from the state line. Talk to some local contractors to see if they know of any that are around your town. these places carry everything from various lumbers, tiles, furniture and appliances, doors Etc. You get it. Good luck.
In Tenn, your best bet is to look for old barns and offer to tear them down in exchange for the lumber. That's how I got most of my 20x36 barn.
