How can I easly sew a quilts ends together?

Question:Out church is donating quilts to the needy in other countries and I said that I would sew the sides together and now I need to know what is the best way to do it ... Please help!

Answers:
I once did a rolled edge on a quilt and it was fantastically easy. Just take the edge and fold it over twice and sew it down. It'll look like you made some beautiful edging on the one side and the other will just look neat. Your machine has to be nice and strong to do this.

It is not clear-are the quilts already made or is the church making them? If they are making them, is the dacron or batting already sewn in? If you are sewing them shut, just fold 1/2 inch of fabric to the inside on both halves and sew 1/4 inch along the folded edge. Or you can use ribbon to sew around the whole quilt. This is harder as the ribbon must be folded in half and sewn near the edge and it is difficult to see if your stitch is catching the ribbon on the bottom.
I like to fold the longer edge over the front. Make a clean edge and hem. I like the block form for the corners. It's easier than a mitre corner.
