Circular saws ?
Question:which is better
corded RIDGID or DEWALT
Answers:
If your price range is $130ish make sure you check out the
Porter Cable
7 1/4" Quik-Change™ Blade-Left MAG-SAW™ Kit
If you are right handed get the blade left model = very easy to stay on your line
My second choice would be Milwaukee
Hard to beat the warranty on the Rigid, I guess if I have to pick between Dewalt and Rigid, I'd pick Rigid.

Sorry, I cannot answer questions asked by a man in his underwear.
Ridgid
Ridgid is home depots house brand. But Dewalt is black and decker in a yellow shell.
I prefer Dewalt products over any. I worked for Robert bosch tool / skil and seen how they are put together and I prefer the way dewalt tools are put together they are longer lasting and more durable.
u might check consumers report for this product. i am sure they rated them. u can actually call the library and they will check for you. those are both nice saws. assuming similar specs it is a toss up. if u are just a homeowner, it probably wont make much diff. i am using a cheap b and d that is darn near 40 yrs old. lol.
If DeWalt was still really DeWalt, I'd opt for them. But, they were bought out by Black and Decker awhile back. I was a builder for many years and used the better grade of Craftsman 7 1/4" circular saws. Parts availability was good, and I wasn't paying for just a "name" (I still have both Craftsman saws, they work fine, and I purchased them in 70's)
If you want the best, Milwaukee, but they are expensive. Second is Makita.

Firstly, put some pants on whitey tighty. Then consider the fact that you are choosing between two of the most inferior brands. Skill, Bosch. Porter cable, Mikita are the Trade standard when it comes to circular saws. I've had all four worm drives and I'm staying with the Bosch and skill.
RIGID probably is but you'll pay for it. if just going to use the saw for the occasional handyman project De Walt can't be beat for the price.
would go with what you can afford
Dont buy cheap and be sure the power is good, small output saws burn out quickly if used a lot, the cheaper saws usually have a low output.
