Who makes power showers for main cold feed .no tank?
Question:no cold water tank only hot water with its own cold tank no pressure on hot water
Answers:
Power showers only work if both the hot and cold water are from a tank. You are not allowed to pump water from the cold main. If you have good cold water pressure now, you install an in-line single impeller pump to boost the hot water, it sound as if you have what is called a Vortik hot water tank that has a copper tank sat on top. If this is the case, I doubt if you can pump the hot water anyway as there is not enough water stored in the cold and hot water bits. Sorry...
You cant install a shower pump to mains water, you need an electric shower, some are 10.5kw these days and are as powerful as a power shower. If you have no tanks, you may have a combi boiler or water heater, the best thing would be a combi compatible shower mixer valve like the mira 415 biv, expensive but good, there are other makes which are cheaper. However, if you have one of the above, a plain mixer connected to the taps will work in a fashion, but will not be thermostatically controlled therefore can be hard to regulate. Hope this helps!
you can not run a power shower from mains water it has to be gravity fed from a header tank for the cold water and a hot water tank for the hot water.
Gainsborough make power showers
Look at a `Trevi boost`. It uses mains cold and gravity hot, I wont bore you with the science, but the shower unit uses the mains pressure to lift the hot pressure.
if you have got a hot water tank. you could always fit a cold water tank too then you can have a power shower i have got a combi so i have gone for a mains pressure system got a Mira magna shower
u cant pump mains water
