My little sister dropped a (wooden) pencil down the toilet!!?
Question:The toilet no longer functions properly, everytime it is flushed the water rises and floods the bathroom, i think the pincil may be stuck in the pipes. It has been like this for a little over a week. How should i fix it w/o hiring a plumber?

go to home depot or lowes and get a short snake router and route it yourself...also, it may not be far in and you can get it with your hands or some long angled needlenose pliers. the pencil is most likely stiuck in the trap..a little s shaped area designed to keep sewer gas from coming back up.
if you can't see the pencil, you need to get a plumber to get it out
Unless you're a certified plumber you can't do it yourself.
You can rent a line cleaner form just about any tool rental place. Let the people know what happened and they should set you up with the proper equipment.
