You need a product called SL1 you can buy it at your local masonry and concrete supplier. It is self leveling hence the name. Take a piece of duct tape and put it on both ends so it wont run out. If the gap is deep also you can use np1 first its not as flowable as SL1. It comes in a caulk tube it looks relly nice when your done because it levels itself. good luck.
Why don't you use quickrete. Its like concrete, but you mix it your self. Check at Lowes or home depot.
I would try filling it with dirt or sand until up to the top and then adding some concrete. to smoothe it out. That should do the trick. However when you first start putting the sand in look in your basement to see if it is coming in there. This happened to some friends of mine, they dumped a whole pickup truck full of sand in there and found it in the basement.
There is a product called cement patching compoud. You can buy it in a caulk like tube and fill the crack.
I'm not sure I would fill it with anything that is not flexible. The house and the porch will move (expand and contract) at different rates. You could cause damage.
i could give a better answer if i knew what material is opposite the concrete slab. house foundation, vinyl siding, brick? if it is masonry ,dont use a masonry filler. if its vinyl or wood you might get away with a cement patch. if it were mine i would fill it with expandable foam insulation. and when it gets hard, cut it off smooth and paint it.
