What is the best way to clean pencil lead off of white aluminum?

Question:I'm trying to clean pencil marks off of my aluminum siding. I'm used alcohol but it is not all coming off.

Answers:
Use a white (or that natural rubber band-colored kind) eraser. A pink one will leave pink marks.

have you tried an eraser?
Trisodium Phosphate will do it.also known in any hardware store as TSP..now mostly you will see a TSP substitute in most hardware stores...works the same way
Soft scrub with bleach and then 409 to remove the residue left by the softscrub.
I've taken off crayon marks, ink marks, dry erase that dried up, and pencil marks off walls and doors using a "magic eraser sponge". You could buy the brand name from Mr. Clean or get it at the 99 cent /dollar stores that is a generic non-brand.

Wet the sponge slightly and apply with a little pressure on the marks you want to get out. Go in a circular motion and you will see the marks come off.

I bought my magic sponge from the 99 cent store to try it out and wished I had stocked up because these things work great. Half the cost and works just as good.

With toddlers in the house, these sponges are a life saver.

I don't know about white aluminum, but it's worth trying.
