Does anybody know how to remove.?
Question:white paint gloss from brick, i.e outside wall brick, thanks
Answers:
you may have to sand blast, or use hi heat
brick acid,be careful with it
Is it water or oil based paint?
acetone.keep it off your hands or you"ll regret it.
Just an idea-paint remover? Paint thinner?
Use a pressure washer. If you don't have one, rent one.
It's not expensive.
leave to dry, then use a chemical paint stripper like nitromors.(a mixture of methanol and methylene chloride).
Also if the paint is dry you could use a blow lamp and burn it off.pls mke sure any trace of solvent has gone or you will have a fire risk.
Gee, that is a tough one...bricks being porous and all...I would go with the sand paper if it is contained in small spots here and there..good luck with it...I cannot think of a liquid that would remove it...although there is that paint remover that comes in a can for woodworking...I think it is called liquid sand paper or something like that...any paint store could recomend a product...
Get some brick acid but be very careful with it, don't get the cheap stuff your waisting your money I've just £5.99 for a gallon tub but that will go along way
If it's only some paint you splashed on by mistake, use anything really, Soap, thinners, I would try washing up liquid With or without, water, AND A WIRE BRUSH !!!
Protect your eyes though. The thinners etc will spread it
and it will soak into the brick.
SOAP will prevent it from sticking to anything !!
Wash it off with water when you finish.
Good luck !!
it will depend on many things obvious advice do not get it there in the first place just be careful you do not make it any worse
pressure washer
steam cleaner
sand blast it
paint stripper but you may get a similar effect to that paint of thinners
There are two possible options, brick acid and high pressure washers.
sand blast-- ive seen houses come up like new after this has been done
