I am decorating my basement, and I don't know what color would look good?
Question:It is a pretty big basement and has a bar area. I love color, the only problem is that I have a red couch and love seat so I have to take them into account. Please somebody help me, I am a horrible at this sort of thing!

Try mahogony for the bar and collaborate that shade in with the rest...it will compliment your red couch too.
I love yellow, it brightens things up. With so many shades you are bound to find something to match your shade of red.
make it white because white makes everything look bigger or if u dont pick out a colorfull color
I just refinished my basement. The previous owners of my house had dark wood panels. I painted over the wood panels with a light color, such as tan that has yellow contrast. Anyway it came out great. It brighten up my basement and made it look larger. Go to Home Depot and someone from the paint department can really help you out with colors for your basement. If you have a pillow that matches your sofa, take it with you, they can help you match the best colors for your sofa.
try yellowish gold walls and add some gold or yellow throw pillows and a rug with some black red and gold them colors look great together -but red makes people hungry so you might not want to much red-
or you can try dark brown with the red
if you want to be sexy try buying lace fabric using painters tape tape it the wall using a spray painter spray the wall with yellow /gold or black or drk brown paint (only on the biggest wall or the 2 smallest walls)
