take instructions out...throw in garbage, lol!, j/k but seriously you should just use them for a refernce point,i had one of those futons when i moved out and i put it together in about half an hour. lay out all the stuff, get the allan key and you are done.
(check the screws on it occasionally as they become loose - i tucked the alan key into the leg of the futon frame so it was handy-and having too much sex on them will warp the frame f.y.i.)

In any case others have given some valid, if not detailed advice.
If you bought it new it should have instructions included. If you bought it used; you shouldn't have. At the very least the frame (usually tubular, should have predrilled holes, and in imagining how it will look when finished it should have two or three major sections that evetually join. Legs to seat, back to legs/seat, arms that are also the legs; some kind of supports for any Cushioning; and most importantly; bolts/nuts/washers, that allow construction.
Often the bolts are Hex head/allen key/star key/phillps head, and the appropriate tool allows that with an adjustable wrench, or pair of Pliers, the frame work can be assembled.
Another option or two,,,if you have no isntructions, is to go to a store that sells THAT model, or similar just to get an idea of assembly. OR if you happen to know the manufacturer, and have any type of ID attached, try a web site.
