I went to Ikea once, and I didn't find my way out for approximately 4 months. BUT - I did get 400 glass tumblers for £2.99, and some really great contemporary artwork that can also be seen in every "at home" scene on Eastenders from March 2001 - December 2005.

Lol. Yeah Ikea furniture send me insane. It goes something like you bloody b******d, f*****g a*****e, sh*****d piece of crappy furniture. Count to ten, breathe relax and try again. I am sending you good flat packed furniture vibes lol Good luck.
Knock down furniture is how you keep your price down but I wouldn't buy it even though they have nice stuff. I do believe they also offer (for a charge) to put it together and deliver. Kind of defeats the money saving purpose but takes away the agony.

I know what you mean. I do love those "instructions" apparently translated from Chinese via Swedish. Personally, I ditch them & use a bit of common sense instead.
