When is the best time to add herbs/oil when making homeade soap?

Question:I am using the traditional homeade recipe using lye and oil which requires a saponification reaction and dont want additives to interfere.
Thanks!

Answers:
Always add herbs at light to med trace--but before your fragrance (if adding any additional fragrance) but prior to pouring in the mold. Your herbs will suspend nicely and be evenly distributed.

Inside the mold while your ready to poor.
Add when your soap begins to cool a little. It will suspend better as opposed to sinking to the bottom.
