Could that be it? Kids bought you a parachute? I'm probably wrong :)
Most Boy Scouts are well-versed in skyhook usage. It's generally one of the first things a new Scout learns on his first campout. I suggest you find a Boy Scout and ask them.
Your kids bought it, make them figure it out. And hit them.

It's not the rigging that is important it's securing the sky-hook that is hard. To have the hook placed or installed is relatively simple once you select your site and elevation.
The problem with sky-hooks is the density of the matter you are attaching to. If we could come up with a solution then the darn thing wouldn't keep falling out.
You can find those directions right alongside the muffler bearing isle at WalMart, it is right next to the drip anticipators and Pixie Dust.
