L. E. 225 arc welder w/ a household dryer plug. for light welding?

Question:

Answers:
Yes thats fine. For LIGHT welding. Dont go getting all Tim The Tool Man on us. You may need to go with a 50 amp range (oven) plug. Same shape as dryer plug but different prong alignment.

IF THE CURCUT IS RATED FOR THE SAME VOLTAGE THEN IT SHOULD BE OK
most dryers use 30 amp if your welder is rated less then yes weld away if you have breakers your protected any way the plug on the welder will give it away if it fits the dryer plug its the same 50 amp plugs are different than 30 amp plugs

If your welder draws less than 30 amps, go for it.
