I accidentally scratched a brass door hinge. The scratch is very superficial. Can I fix it?

You probably went through the lacquer coating. Try clear nail polish to touch up.
Yes. Try Brasso, you may have to rub it some, but it should polish out if it does not have a lacquer coating
You might be able to sand it with 600 grit sandpaper, using a palm sander.
This will only work if it is brass throughout, not brass coated.
if its an old brass hinge you can fine sand and polish it. if its modern its plated or coated.if you know a marine
they can show you how to polish it. they have had plenty of practice in boot camp.
