IF your talking about an in wall A/C unit (big brother to window mounted unit). Just like framing a window, you need to head out the wall. hopefully your not stucco exterior. remove gyp. bd from inside house install header (1" thick / 1' span (4x4 = 4' span)). make sure you have adequate electrical (220 if required).
