How can I undo a screw which has cross threaded?

You can get screw extractors (sometimes called "Easy Outs") from any decent hardware shop.They look a bit like a reverse drill bit.
To undo it, just unscrew it and start it back in correct.
Am I missing something here? Is the screw stripped instead of cross threaded?
They make a tool called an easy-out that you put into a small tap wrench.. You drill a small hole into the screw then turn the easy-out into it. It's threads are reversed so that it pulls the screw out as you are turning it in counter clockwise. Or you can try drilling a hole that is close to the size of the screw threads then put the drill in reverse.

try your best to lose sen it if not the you got 2 options.
1 get a old screwdriver and superglue it to the screw.
2 drill it out and replace.

A tap & die set will rethread it for you if you have it out.
if its a right hand thread force it back anti clockwise what will happen is you will strip the thread down to its root ,depending
on the depth of damaged thread both internally and externally its usually about 4 threads damaged but this will depend on the pitch of the thread then retap the nut side and re thread the screw side back to origional taking care when reassembling by hand.Not enough info re size/type of thread

If its cross threaded and you cant turn it with a screwdriver, use a vicegrip and just twist it out. Be careful though that you don't twist off the end of the screw with the remainder still in the hole. This will likely damage the threads of both the screw and where it is holding, so a tap and die may be necessary.
Drill a hole in it then put a reverse tap and die in it and unscrew it, anticlockwise.
dont force . use a drill only on screwe and should not touch the hole
