How do you install a cable trunking properly?

Question:Hi All,

I am wanting to know how to install a cable trunking properly if you are doing a rewire would it be wise to hold the trunking up with nails or would it have to be with screws, if you are going around bends how would this be possible in trunking? as different size cables have different bend ratios.
This may seem like an obvious question but I am struggling with this.

Thanks in advance for all your help

Answers:
The last time I helped a sparky the wall were cut out them we use Liquid nails this we found avoided sharp edges however you can get clips that you put on the trunking then screw to the wall as regards going round corners there are fittings you can get for this ask at your local elctrical wholesaler he'll give you all the details

it is better to use screws you can mitre the trunking 2x 45 degree cuts will give you a right angle easier in plastic than metal you can buy pre made bends for both kinds its the easiest option normal copper cables will bend around no problem
If your chasing the wall out secure either side of trunking with nails or stick to wall with gripfill ensuring conduit is not proud for making good.
If external use gripfill to back of trunking and leave to go off, no nails or screws, use cornor sections suitable for that trunking.
It does work with gripfill take my word for it.
