Can anyone tell me if i need to connect a earth wire to my bath as ive just installed an electric shower ?

Question:as ive put in an electric shower. i need to know if i need to run an earth wire from the shower to the bath. or is it earthed by the means of the earth wire that is allready connected to the water suply to the bath. or do ineed to connect an earth wire to the bath. with the means of an earth strap then back to the earth on the exsisting water supply underneath the bath.

Answers:
all your plumbing should have an electrical earth wire its called grounding,if you have and electric hot water heater that should be grounded also.

uh?
all new instalations have to be connected to the earth wire by law, even if you have a colar gas cooker?
The supply should be low voltage, and grounded also.
Its best to have a good ground in case a wire frays and rubs up against the wet tub . Tie in a good ground to your copper pipes by clamping it securedly with a strap.
If you have plastic pipe to the bath and the bath itself is metal, I would run an earth wire to the bath. As basically when you are taking a shower there is a potential of standing on the metal tub that could basically be at a different potential than the shower head. If you have metal pipes that are correctly grounded then you should be OK.
