Silicon adhesive caulk vs. silicon sealant?
Question:is there a difference? the application is for a corian countertop installation
Answers:
Silicon adhesive is more durable and has a stronger bond. Sealant is just that. It is meant to seal cracks, etc. and is not meant as a bonding agent.
Personaly, I wouldn't use either. I'd go with a clear construction adhesive. Over the years, these counters can take a lot of abuse and need something that will hold up and stay strong for the life of the counter top.
they used adhesive chaulk on home improvement shows alot.try it or go to DIY.com?
There is a speacial adhesive for corian intsallation. It is silicon based but it is not either of the two you mention. Check at a home improvment store or on the web.

If it's just to seal around the edge of a one piece counter top, I'd use the sealant. If you're putting pieces together on the surface, I'd use the caulking. The caulking would look better on exposed surfaces, but the sealant is more flexible and won't crack around the perimeter.
