How do I remove rubber marks from painted wallpaper?
Question:Whilst carrying a suitcase up the stairs one of the rubber stoppers on the suitcase brushed against the painted wallpaper (it is backing paper painted with dulux soft sheen emulsion) and it has left a black streak on the surface. I have tried a wet cloth but this has not worked. I don't want to rub it too hard as I don't want to damage the paper. However, the painted surface does seem fairly strong...any solutions?
Answers:
Try an eraser - like those kids use at school. I'm sure it'll work fine, just be sure not to rub too hard.
I would try some "Simple Green". It cleans just about anything and is not harsh.
Go to the supermarket and get Mr Clean Magic Erasers! They work great!! I've cleaned marker of my walls! It's also taken ballpoint pen off of my leather couch without damaging the leather.
a pencil rubber will work just rub it on the mark gently
CLEANING BLOCK MADE FROM MELAMINE RESIDUE. DAMPEN SMALL PIECE OF BLOCK AND RUB THE MARK GENTLY. HAVE DONE THIS SEVERAL TIMES MYSELF AND HAD SUCCESS. GOOD LUCKB LOCKS WIDELY AVAILABLE AND COST ABOUT A POUND
try washind up liquid and a damp cloth
try very gently rubbing with a soft pencil eraser. only stroke it in one direction. Try it tonight, theres nothing worth looking at on telly.
