Installing brick pavers inside the house?

Question:I want to install thin brick pavers on my kitchen floor. Can anyone tell me the best way to do this? The floor is concrete.

Answers:
You will also have to consider your sub flooring, if it will be able to handle the weight of the pavers. At this point cementboard would be what you would use, but you would really want to have someone come and inspect the sub floor and give you an idea what thickness underlayment you would need.

Although I don;t know why you want to do this...I would use thinset just like for ceramic tiles. Make sure you place them in a tight pattern. You'll have to seal these bricks a few times to make sure they don't absorb things dripped onto them. I don;t really think it's a good idea though. Not very sanitary for a kitchen.
You need a consummate PRO on this job, an actual floor mechanic. You can find these guys, or get referrals to them, at the very best floor covering stores.
And I hate to disagree with albertaguy7 on this, but without seeing your pavers, there's no way anyone can determine what the exact installation procedure for them should be. An actual floor mechanic will want to see how thick the pavers are, how porous they are, how flat the backs are and, he'll want to see if their profile is suitable for an interior flooring. Only then, if it's reasonable and possible to do the job, can he decide on an installation procedure and choose his installation and finishing materials.
In a lighter note, you already have the only appropriate base for your pavers, which is of course, concrete. You've already won half of the 'battle'. Good luck, I hope you get the floor that you want.
