Adding a Decking 23'x23' to House?

Question:If the cost is over $5000 do we have to get tradesmen in to do it, or can we do it ourselves. Is there council laws on this?

Answers:
you can most certainly can do it yourself, and plans are readily available at lowes or home depot..it isnt rocket science and you will have fun doing it. There are codes on how it is constructed and attached to the home, but easy to follow. Lowes will help you and have fun.

Of course you can do this yourself. If I were you guys I would get some ideas of what kind of deck you would like to have on the back of your home, you can even buy books at Lowe's and home depot on just decks and pick out what you like best and get the plans and materials list and have a blast building it together.
No you can still build ourself here is a few site that might help you with the design, and the material lost
