Dyeing problems!?

Question:help! I dyed my dress blue! the colour refuses to stop running even after I washed it under cold water for more than half an hour. how can I stop it from running? and what other steps must I take to ensure that the color stays? another problem I have is removing the dye from my hands and feet. any solutions?

Answers:
sry idk

I would try to soak it in water overnight rather than just rinsing it.
Removing dye from hands and feet. now that's a good one that I have no answer to. Maybe vinegar might help, maybe rubbing alcohol might help, maybe even baking soda rubbed over the area (dampened).
Perhaps using soap that has lime in it.
Sounds to me like the dress was a poly blend. It's going to continue to run until the dye is all gone. Dye is not absorbed by polyester.
