Moldy bathroom?
Question:I have that green mold in my bathroom, I take it off but it comes back. What causes it and how can I get rid of it permanetly?
Answers:
You need better ventilation to remove moisture from the room. If you do not have a bathroom fan, install one. Also, the fan needs to be run for several minutes (10 to 20) after bathing or showering. Don't turn it off immediately after your done. That should help.
Also when you clean the mold, use clorox. It will kill the mold spores.

Spray Clorox watter on it. I cant guarantee it to be permanent but it works like magic.
Proper ventilation. If you don't have a bathroom exhaust fan, you need to have one installed. If you do have one, then it's capacity is too small.
Once you get the preventative measures in place(bath fan),
paint the room with a mildew resistant paint.
Prices vary on fans from $50 - 180 for the average.
Installation costs can vary from $175 to 600 depending on what has to be done to wire and install the exhaust line
Too much moisture and inadequate ventilation.
A vent fan is good for getting the moist air out and if you don't have one, get one installed. You may have a leak somewhere in the walls. In most cases it would be recommended to strip it down to stud walls, correct any problems and re-rock it. It's nearly impossible to get rid of mold once it sets in.
ventilation for sure, but you might want to re-paint using a primer that will prevent mold. Go to a paint store and ask them about it.
