You have to go by the weight limits of your trailer or vehicles total payload or what you are going to load on the vehicle. Example. A big over the road tractor trailer is licensed for 80,000 total lbs. However the total payload is not 80,000 lbs it is only 40,000 perhaps 49,000 lbs plus the total weight of the combined vehicle weight. 30,000 to37,000 depending. So you may have to got to a truck stop that has a cat scale or the like and weigh your vehicle or vehicle pulse trailer if this is what you will use. then deduct that weight from the total weight it or they can carry. As far as figuring out weight of payload. Just weigh one board of particular size and times it by however Meany you are loading. Do this for each deferent item till you get to your max payload weight. Then make darn sure you use straps to secure your load. One for every 4 feet of load. You do all this you wont have any trouble lest you equipment is not in good shape.
