I need help on security in the woods.!?
Question:My friends have built a sweet tree fort in the woods and yes we have permission to be in these woods and to build in them as well. So myfriends and I have seen that other people have been in the woods and know where our fort is, so we need some practical ideas to keep peoplerfrom getting up in our fort and destroying it. And we can just find a new location for it. Any practical information would be very much apreciated. Thanks.

Yep.Remove the ladder. If the tree is climbable from the ground without a ladder, get a whole bunch of Vaseline. Smear it on the lower branches, and they will not be able to get a grip to climb.
This is an old trick used here in New Orleans to keep tourists from climbing the poles in the French Quarter during Mardi Gras.
Do you have a picture of it? I've been in law enforcement for five years now, and "wooded fort" security would be a nice challenge.
depends how you get up there is it with something you can take with you like a ladder if not;post a sign for them to please not mess with your property or they will be prosecuted. you probably would likely find out from the neighborhood who plays in those parts and who dont so let it be known that your not playing whenit comes to your property you may not own the property its on but its your fort ; maybe a cheap scanning camera that you can survey from home?
Try out the deer hunters' solution: leave their treestand up, and just remove the ladder to keep people out of them.
