What is the best way to remove metal t-post from a fence row, useing hand tools.?
Question:the land is real hard to get to. hills, valleys,ditches, ect,

I use an old Bumper Jack from a car. Sometimes you can find them at a junk yard. Wrap a chain at the bottom of the Post and hook on the jack and just jack it out of the ground. They do make a tool for this, but, not sure what they cost. Farm Supplies have them. You may look at how they made and make something similar from things you have.

No matter the access, the tool that will best suit you is a hand held shovel, pointed blade,,,perhaps a pick axe?
The idea behind the ANCHOR posts is that they "Won't" come out,,,on their own at least,,,and depending on how they were set, IE: Post holes back filled with dirt or concrete, will pretty much dictate how they have to be removed.
The process will be tedious at best, but apparently a task you want to attempt.

Try this trick: loop some rope tightly around the base of the post. About 6" or so along the rope, tie it (or wrap tightly) around the end of a long, strong pole -such as a digging bar. Now place a block (big chuck of wood, section of cinder block, etc.) as close to the post as you can, so the digging bar can be used as a lever. Push down on the far end so the end near the post goes UP, pulling the rope which pulls the post. The straighter "up," the better. This is a "poor man's" version of the device pictured here:

If its really tough going, mount a trailer boat winch to a 4X4 post, and mount the post to a flat board such as a section of 2 X10. Wrap the cable from the winch around the post to be pulled a few times, and secure with the hook. Get everything as close the the post to be pulled as you can, and start winching 'er outta there.
By the way, you can use a vehicle and chain or cable to bull-dog it out -but you'll bend the post if you do.

Ok..this week I used a t-post remover. A gadget we borrowed from a neighbor. It clamps onto the upright of the T and you pump a lever like a jack. It was awesome and VERY easy. I have looked on-line to find one and have only seen a different version which clamps onto the the cross arm of the T with the bumps. They look easy too.
