How do I Cable or Bolt a oak tree?

Question:

Answers:
Have a splitting tree do we? Well fret not, I just happened to have seen an episode of "This Old House Hour" where Rodger Cook explained this.
Basically you bore two holes, insert your rod, (or a cable with eye bolts), and put just some tension on it. It requires annual maintains to insure that the tree doesn't over grow your rigging.
I recommend that you check their website for more information.

Think we need some more info here. What are you trying to accomplish?
Maybe you should just plant a new tree. Its never really a good idea to bolt or wire trees.
