Has anyone ever drove a well? Please send me details.?

Answers:
I have a number of wells drilled. The ones which I have done have been with a "pounder". This is a machine which has a heavy chisel shaped weight on the end. The weight is raised and dropped repeatedly. This makes a round hole in the ground approx. 6 inches in diameter. When water is struck, a steel casing is driven down the well hole so that the sides do not cave in. A submersible pump is then lowered into the well.

A second way is a rotary drill type machine. It also makes about a 6 inch hole in the ground. They usually can drill much deeper than the "pounder" type and are much faster.
