How can i build a wood furnace?

Question:

Answers:
if you welder and cutting torch skills then build your own. one end needs a way to control the amount of air entering. the other end needs some sort of stack positioned higher to allow the heat to exhaust away from living quarters so as not to affixiate every one

Buy one. To manufacture one yourself would be very difficult and probably would not pass any kind of inspection. Have to be approved by the EPA in most areas of the U.S.
I built one myself from scratch before. I heated my whole house with it. You have to build a door with a vent on it that is about the hardest part. Line the bottom with fire brick. You can do this if you can weld.
