New sink disposal is slow; what could it be?

Question:.
I replaced the disposal and this new one doesn't drain as fast as the other.

If I press down on the rubber flaps the water flows faster but still slower than the old unit was.

Answers:
The hp of the garbage disposal has nothing to do with how fast it drains.

I would say this is just stiffer rubber for now by it being new at the drain part. You may want to check and make sure you don't have a partial piece of plastic or foam from the packing stuck in the drain. I don't for see any other reason from what you have told us.

The new one has lower horse power than the other. Can't do much about it...sorry.
dont put fresh vegetibles in it. only cooked
