Any one know any thing about redoing a bathroom floor?
Question:It had carpet in it and I pulled that out and took out the old tile under the carpet and I pulled all the nails out that held the tack strips down now I have holes and divets where the nails were, the floor is cement. I want to lay down the square self stick laminate tile do I need to do something to the floor or can I just lay down the tile and can I just cut the tile to fit around the toilet and tub and cabnet or do I have to put tile under them? Any info would be great. Please help! Thanks in advance!

The correct way is to pull up the toilet and sink cabinet (if you have one) and use leveling compound for cement and level out the ''divots'' and ''holes'' that you have and then lay your tiles and re-install toilet and sink cabinet. That's the way a professional would do it.Plus it looks so much better.
I did almost the same thing in my bathroom about a month ago. I cleaned the floor really well and put the sticky tiles on. I wouldn't recommend putting it under the cabinet or toilet, just cut around it. You might want to fill in those holes first if they look like they might cause a problem. Good Luck
Your already half way done. All you need to do is fill in any of those holes so you dont mess up the new tile, then you do just like you thought you start in one corner and go. Then you cut the tiles to fit where you need to! Good Luck!
use the floor leveler on the divots dont worry about small holes, you can buy it at home depot he is right about rmoving the toilet it is easier to cut tile around the sewer pipe and then hide by covering with toilet , any straight cuts to the tile like around the vanity and tub are easier, bit be sure to use a strait edge and a sharp razor knife bona fortuna
cement gets cold and the adhesive tiles will soon let go ! this has happened to me in my kitchen and i am currently fighting the floor company to have it replaced.
to avoid this hassle and get your floor to look its best, remove the toilet and add a layer of sub flooring. lay your flooring cutting around the cabinet and tub. once the floor is down replace the toilet and wax ring. now your new floor should last you a few years instead of months.
