What is the best way to install a clothes/closet rod inside a T.V. armoire?
Question:We bought a T.V. armoire that matches our bedroom group. We would like to put a clothes rod inside for extra closet space.
Answers:
If the armoire is well-built, you could use a tension rod.
For a stronger rod, you could use a wooden rod, with round wooden discs that attach flat to the sides (that have a space cut out to drop the rod in). It would probably be best to also include an extra support in the middle, attached to the top.

The hardware stores or your local Wal-mart should have a kit for that
I would try a shower curtain rod it's expandable then drill the outside or the armoire for extra support
Find some lumber boards that are 1" thick.
Measure the depth of the piece inside.
Cut the board to fit on left & right of the piece.
Make sure you have something to screw the screws into to hold the wood as well as the weight of the clothes.
Buy a shower curtain rod that is adjustable. Might have to cut part of 1 end off then replace the rubber cap.
Adjust for tension and the rod will be strong and sit on the top of the 1" edge of the secured board.
