Has anyone ever installed rope lighting on a small dock?

Question:It has benches around 3 sides. Should I go all around the edges near the water or put the lights across the back of the benches? Is rope lighting the best solution? I'd need about 120 feet to go all the way around it. There's a plug on it and it's a floating dock, so there shouldn't be any electrical hazards.

Answers:
rope lighting is 120 volts check to make sure the outlet that you are going to be pluging it into is a GFCI it should be but you nevery know. they make small plastic straps just for the rope lights, and you can put them on the beanch or what ever as you please I have nevery installed any on a dock put plenty around video stores they come indoor/outdoor type look on the box and make sure

Happy Lighting
