What project is still unfinished?

Question:how long ago did you start it

why havent you finished it

are you ever going to finish it

or has it become something you just simply walk around
and make out it isnt there anymore

Answers:
Sorry all you DIYers, but these questions are very much aimed at my beloved football club, Blackpool.
If you all think your projects are bad , be thankful you are not working for this shower of s**t.!!!

Unfinished project: Bloomfield Road the home of Blackpool fc. Two sides of the ground built ( and now in need of re-painting as the sea air has rusted it ) and the other two sides demolished !!!

How long ago was it started: Approx 5 years ago !!!

Why hasn't it been finished yet : Ran out of money halfway through the project !!!

Are you ever going to finish it ?: At this rate , probably not !!!

something you walk past and make out it isn't there anymore :
Well , I think that statement hits the nail right on the head.!!!

Take heart from this shambolic mess. your projects can't be worse than this........
......... can they ????

my living room .needs wallpapering.
I started a cross-stitch 6 months ago ...i did 2 stitches on it and left it and have not done it!
i keep looking at it thinking i will do it and it is still not done!
Our spare room. It was going to be an office and we started it two years ago when we moved in. Now its going to be a nursery and it'll hopefully be finished very soon. Or baby is sleeping in the living rom lol
Decorating upstairs, i hate doing it.
haha...Hubby trimmed out the living room with new base board and we moved the tv back into place before he finished...now, we have moved out of the house and he just uses it when he's in town on business and hasn't done anything about it. It's been 2 years and now all of his tools are in our present home so getting it done will require him having someone else cut the baseboard for him and he'll have to borrow some basic tools...haha...doesn't everyone have projects like this?
whole flat, as we nearly finish one bit something else needs redoing or replacing started about 8yrs ago inside of front door is ghastly have tried to ignore it for 8yrs but now its out of sight out of mind
My living room - we started painting the wood work months ago - but we both work and we have two kids (and we're at the point where we need to move furniture) - one day it'll get done - hopefully sooner rather than later. It's just finding the time to do it.
various things since we moved in to our house 18months ago-
* only have 1/2 the old loight switches replaced for new chrome ones,
* only have up 1/2 the bathroom fititngs we bought (no towel rails, no shower caddy),
* my husband started painting the windows outside a few months back, so far only one set of windows and the back door are completed (still 5 sets of windows to go!),
* we still have items from our wedding presents under our bed in the boxes they were sent in that haven't even been un packed let alone put up yet (2 lots of shelving)
* Various places in our house were 'missed' when we redecorated aftre moving in which still have not ben rectified.

Think thats about it to begin with!! I am sure i couold think of a few more in time. I am sure they will all be finished right before we move out!!
My house has been in bits for 9 months now and i still haven't got any carpets or plaster on the walls or a kitchen , well sort of but no cabinets, but i have got a toilet though and a bed but no furniture,it will be finished tomorrow, but i say that every day!!
started to tile bathroom and decorate the hall ready for laminate flooring 4 years ago but i had an accident and i can't move my arm enough to finnish the job just been told i must have an operation on my shoulder
alright you asked for it.

let's start with our front porch which we took the astroturf off of and replaced with slate (which is really nice) we did this in time for our BBQ party in Sept 2005 and as of yet - still needs a few pieces done/re-done and a seal coat put on it.

My rain gutters - I can't tell you when we started but it's been at least over a year ago and to this day half of mine are brown and the other half are white. I have all the materials to do it it just needs done.

My Family Room ! Which we began tearing down walls as soon as we moved in so almost 4 years ago. And until we had a party in Feb of this year was still not live in able. Now it's mostly done and my husband is doing the millwork around the windows (trim) at a leisurely pace.

The slider finally got in but the stucco patch needs finished.

The dishwasher that has been sitting in my walkway since Feb finally got installed but we still need a few parts to wrap that up.

Elec panel replaced/upgraded - stucco patch needs finished.

And yes we will finish all these projects. I PROMISE ! but you didnt ask about all the UNSTARTED Projects !
My second bathroom. I started it about a year ago, and I haven't been able to find a sink small enough to fit in it. I have the plumbing and everything else done, but no sink. : (

I special ordered 2 sinks at different times and both were on backorder and I was given the run around. I finally found someone that has it in stock and it's on its way to me now...hopefully I can cross this off my to-do list very soon. : )
I was out of work for a few months and watching the money situation so we held back on decorating the living room.

Finally decided to redecorate and purchased paper/paint etc went for a job interview in same week, said to wife will postpone decorating if i get the job, hurd nothing about the interview by 4pm on the Friday so started to remove old wallpaper, 5pm phone rang you have the job start Monday.

Then took me a month to finish living room doing a bit each night after work.
My bedroom needs decorating and the end off my garden needs something doing to it, when we had the floods all the wood chip floated away so now were left with an 8ft square of mud with a swing stuck on it!! I would love to get some stones for it but it will probably be like that til next summer if the bad weather carries on!
As far back as I can remember, my Father ALWAYS had at least one project going.

Several years ago he passed away, and a couple weeks later, I examined the old home place to see what I should help my Mom finish. I was amazed! Every project was completely done, down to the last detail!!

Since then, I haven't really wanted get all my projects done. A little procrastination could lengthen you life!
anyone can start, but to finish, now that is the ticket!
