Would two "low pint" dehumidifiers be equivilent to a "high pint" one?

Question:I was wondering because I need a 65 pint dehum, but I can get a 40 pint and a 25 pint at a much cheaper cost. But would it be the same?

Answers:
In this case, two are better than one. You can place them in different parts of the area and get a bit more even humidity level than you would with one big one in the middle of the area.

The only real downside to this arrangement is the two will use more energy to do the same work than one larger unit would.

yes it would
