Need small fan for bedside that is QUIET --light sleeper. Air conditioning too noisy. What brand's good?

Question:Lakewood brand in my hardware store claims to be whisper quiet. Thermartake Blue (sp) also. Every "quiet" fan I have bought was too noisy---never whisper quiet. About given up. I am getting early start in my search. Please--serious answers only.

Check out sharper image they have the Sharper Image HiRise Fan, my sister in law has this and you can not hear a thing and it works great.

Honeywell I have one and I em him scruffy keeps me cool and stays quite last for years Model HT 800 but to be perfectly honest a air condition has never wakened me before and I consider myself a light sleeper.

So I hope this helps if not maybe try placing the fan further away from the bed or sleeping with ear muffs as you may be a ultra sensitive sleeper. good luck
Holmes. They are cheap and they run well.
they have a conditioners that are very quiet ; the new ones are great look for one that says specifically about noise free you could always put some soft soft music on or play a recorded tape of a presidential speech
