I have wooden garden tiles with no instuctions on how to lay them i really could do with some advise?

Question:

Answers:
Depending on the species of wood used, the tiles may in fact last a while. Teak and ipe are especially good woods for this application., but most other woods will rot very quickly when in constant contact with the ground.

There is no special preparation required - lay them where you want them.

In the future however, you may want to consider using large, irregular slabs of limestone or bluestone if you need steppers in the garden. Or better yet, if you use a quality shredded wood mulch (no red 'nuggets' please) throughout your entire garden, you won't need steppers - you can walk wherever you need to. And quality mulch has other significant benefits as well such as water retention and weed reduction.

well i adviseya next time to know wht your doing rather then buying anything that looks like it may work. the wood tile is GARBAGE!itll be weatherized and beaten up before 5 yrs is up; also if you go too home depot how to page itll give ya the right knowledge
