The kitchen faucet is not working properly. The hot water is weak to nonexistent.?
Question:The faucet has only one adjustable knob. No hot water comes when I adjust to just HOT, but when I adjust it to midway or almost to Hot, the water gets hot enough. Is there a way to fix without having a plumber repair it?

OMG! Is no one reading? The woman said that it gets plenty hot at the part way point... so she is getting hot water to the handle, just not the spout! It's not the control valve unde the sink, it's the cartridge in the Delta handle faucet.
Hon, the cartridge in the faucet is not lined up (indexed) to the holes in the faucet body. To fix: Pop off the little disk shaped cover over your faucet handle. (Yes, turn off the water below the sink.. both sides)
Take out the one Phillips point screw. Pop up the handle and get to the cartridge. Pull it straight out. Clean the gaskets and the seat (where the cart. goes) Put a little Vaseline in there on the gaskets. Re seat the cart. MAKE SURE the indexing shoulder lines up with the little cut out spot. Snap it in and re-assemble. Viola! You have hot where the hot belongs!
Have you checked the shut off valve on the line under the sink? Try turning both of them all the way open. Also check the main line valve coming into the house. Or check for blockages in the line.
it could be the hot valve under sink thats the problem, it may need newstem and washer, or if you have galvanized steel pipes, they may need to be replaced. 1st turn off hot water @ water heater, open faucet that is lower than sink if possible, if not, open hot faucet till no water comes out. with wrench, remove stem under sink, goto hardware store and buy new valve that looks like the one you took stem out of. remove stem from new valve and install in old valve..NOTE; this will work if you have brasscraft type valve only
