Wiring a 3 gang light switch?
Question:I have a 3 gang light switch for my shed to be fed from a consumer unit and to operate, individually, 3 lights. On the back of the 3 gang switch unit each individual switch has a Com, L1 and L2 terminal plus there is an earth terminal. Does anyone know the correct terminations please.
Answers:
It is a 3-gang switch but is not 3-way switching as shown earlier.
Therefore each will operate individually of each other.
First of all take the live feed from the light to the Com (common). Then take the switch feed from the light to the L1.
You need to repeat this for all three lights.
If you need further explanation have a look here:

Connect the live feed to com on all 3 switches and L2 to each of the lights. (L1 is only used if the lights can be switched from 2 places).
com is a common live in to both l1 and l2, on e of which will be Notmally open and on of which will be normally closed, as long as the permananet live goes to com the switch wire can go to either L1 or L2 if its in the wroing posiotn when on, then reverse the wire to the L terminal
3 gangs all using the same light switch?
You need to buy them 1 each otherwise there will be drive by shootings outside your shed all night!
And then what? pimps in leopard skin hats hanging with the homies and the Gs?
Not in my shed friend
