My shower faucet uses washers-how do I change over to washerless?

Question:I want to go washerless-My current system is kinda new (copper)- wonder if I can just take out the old stems-and replace with a washeless system,

Answers:
u have to change the whole faucet

Unless the manufacturer makes ceramic stems you'll have to replace the faucet.
sealer?
forget changeover unless you change whole fixture.
few manufacturers offer conversion kits

easy fix is to just replace the whole stem... try Lowe's or any of the other big stores for full replacement stems instead fo rebuilding. cost ranges from 5-20 dollars for each stem depending on design and length of shaft. after you replace you can rebuild the old ones in your spare time and have them handy for the next time

just pull, take apart, replace washers, re-assemble, re-install. just that easy

remember to turn on the water or you will be all wet in an ugly way
