Can I paint an interior wall with water base paint if it has been previously painted with oil base paint?

Yes, but you need to degloss it first. That means, either lightley sanding it, or using a liquid de-glosser on it. I think lightley sanding it is easier. You need to use a primer after that to give the new paint something to stick to.Sounds like I'm a paint sales person.I am! Bye.

Yes, I dislike water based paints due to the fact that if you spill on it or it gets dirty you can't wash it without taking the paint off.
try it, worse thing that could happen is that it could peel. try priming first
water based paint WILL NOT adhere correctly to oil based paint.
