Painting question?

Question:I just recently painted a few rooms in my home and then I noticed that quarter sized impressions have formed on certain parts of the walls. They are all the same length apart and all have the same shape. They were not there until I painted. Any idea what this could be?

Answers:
hammer marks from your sheetrock. the new color set it off and now you notice it more. they probably had the old color up to camoflauge it

Rachel answered it correctly, get yourself a 6" broad knife and some sheetrock mud, lightly skim them , spot prime and paint, use a small hot dog roller to touch them up with your finish coat or just re-roll the whole wall but don't cut it in, good luck Les the painter
Rachel did a fine job of explaining the problem. The way to fix it is to pick up some spackling and a wide putty knife, spread it across the dent without pressing too hard and make sure you cover the dent evenly. Let it dry a half hour or so, take a very damp wash cloth and smooth it down very carefully. Too much and you will have to start over. Try putting the cloth over the end of your putty knife and going over it slowly to smooth it out. Use a little primer on it before you paint too.
try flat paint, same color (and yes you can wash flat paint)
