How long should it take to burn down your house?

Question:i'm going to burn down my house . just wanted to know how long it should take and whats a good way to burn it down.

Answers:
I am not sure why you are planing to burn down your house, but the best way is to get ahold of the local fire department. They might want to use it as a training burn. You might also be able to get a tax deduction as well.

DO NOT ENDANGER ANYONE! Don't just burn it down, you have to let the local fire department know FIRST! Also you might have a problem with the agency responsible for clean air, and you might end up with a $10,000+ fine and possible jail time, so do be careful!!

Why would you burn down your house?!?!
Umm. .. that would be illegal. I'd say that it'll take about 20 years in jail. Also, arson investigators can typically tell how the fire was started. Your best bet is to just move if you really don't like the house that much. Fires are dangerous (duh) and can cause an innocent person to die.
I seen a small mobile home go up and completely burn to the frame in less than 5 minutes.

It's scary to think now about having to live in one again, after I saw that.
I think I'd pay rent for an apt. or house before I'd ever live in one.
there is another way! get some help
long enough for everybody in the neighborhood to cook all the toasted marshmallows and hot dogs they want. Party on dude!
Depends on materials used to construct.
Depends on the age and condition of the flammable materials.
Depends if an accelerant will be used or not.
Depends if you have an automatic interior sprinkler system installed.
Depends how long it will take the fire company to get there.
Depends on direction of wind, and strength
Depends on Wheather Conditions at the time it is ignited and left to burn.
Depends on how experienced the person(s) igniting the fire are at setting fires, and how thoroughly it is ignited.
Depends on the method for igniting the fire ( fire, electrical, friction, light, explosion, etc)

So I cannot answer this, it really depends...
Who cares. Call the fire department and tell them you are donating your house for "training purposes" and let them burn it down!! Then, they have to clean it up!!
About 20-30 minutes for a one story and 30- an hour for 2 story house. Good luck on the burn?
if it's so old you can't remodel it, or you want to tear it down to rebuild, then you need to get a city permit and then call the fire department and ask them to come out while you burn it down. Burning it down by yourself without telling anyone you might go to jail or they might think you're burning it down for insurance purposes which is illegal. These days burning is so dangerous that other homes might catch on fire as well and get out of hand and if that happens you will be responsible for the damage of the other homes as well. So, get in touch with your city and fire department. They will work with you on that.
