Mobile home air conditioning?

Question:I HAVE A "WINDOW" UNIT STYLE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM BUT WANT TO INSTALL THE UNIT IN THE WALL (NOT THE WINDOW). WHAT DO I NEED TO DO OR BE CAREFUL OF (LIEK WIRES) WHEN I CUT INTO THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR WALL? SHOULD I START BY USING A SPECIAL TOOL TO CUT THE INTERIOR WALL FIRST TO EXPOSE ANY WIRING? ANY ADVICE WOULD BE HELPFUL.

JIM

Answers:
first off, before opening the wall, cut all power to your home, at the breaker box. then with a small hand saw (keyhole) cut a small access hole in the drywall in the center of the area you want the unit to go. With a flashlight and mirror look around in the wall, (you might need to move/remove insulation to do this. If you see wires, you will need to move them, before cutting out the section of drywall. After you move the wires and cut the opening in the drywall between the wall studs, you will need to nail in some 2X6 between the studs top and bottom to support the unit. The 2x6 should be double thick (4") with the 6" standing up. Once this frame is in place you can cut the outside siding from the inside with a reciprocating saw. But first screw the siding to the frame using 2" deck screws to secure it. Once the hole is cut , use some scraps of drywall to fill in the gaps at the side of the frame , and hang your AC
