My bathroom is decorated in Lilac and light Blue it looks lovely the colours go very well together
how about pale yellow for both wall and curtains, but sheer for the curtains, like a voile or linen.
According to how radical you want to be, what about grey or a deeper shade of the lilac.
Silver looks great with lilac
if you have lilac on other walls try a deep violet on one wall. find a bedding what has those colors to tie them all together or even just buy throw pillows
I'd say a yellowish green color looks like with lilac
Light blue would look good with lilac.
this may sound crazy but lilac and light green go great together! it makes for a light and cheerful affect without out making you dizzy.
shades of brown go great with lilac.. i would say the darker the better but it depends on your style and furniture.
Try a blueish grey color
Definitely silver. Try painting wall that the headboard of your bed is against silver, then incorporate silver accessories such as cushions on the bed. If you have blinds on your windows try some sheer voile draped round pole, allowing excess to fall to floor (pale grey colour would suit). Either lilac or darker purple shade of bedding would look good with silver runner along bottom of the bed. Try local haberdashery or market for 'end of roll' remnants and either sew either end or hem with wonderweb for neat edges. Scatter tealights in little holders round room - can get both from local discount/pound stores for romantic feel. And buy some cheap A4 or A5 canvases from either Au Naturale shops or local art shops and few tester pots of paint in silver and various shades from lilac to aubergine and create your own masterpieces!
Good luck and enjoy your new surroundings xx
pale yellow and pale yellow bedding and curtians or pale green
Keep one wall lilac, the rest a spring green color or pale yellow maybe?? and or light grey?
As a designer I always go for white. This way I can go for really vibrant colours in pictures & textiles with no fear of clashing. Plain white accentuates the colours in pictures and soft furnishings. etc and if I need colour for ambience I can use coloured light by using colored light bulbs (lamps) or by using transparent lampshades of the colour of my choice, pink for warm, blue for cool etc. White always reflects the colour of the lighting I choose.Houseplants always look good against a white background and all my planters are white ceramic.
SILVER definately, without a doubt. Do one wall silver, then do silver and lilac curtains and bedding.
why not paint the other wall white and do some stencilling in the the lilac also white bedding and white voile curtains will look beautiful
If your lilac is a fairly pale shade, a sandy orange colour complements it surprisingly well, as I found in my living room. Farrow and Ball's "Dutch Pink" - which isn't the slightest bit pink - might be a good choice.
Feature walls are a bit last season, I wouldn't bother!
try yellow I really like lilac and yellow it really stands out you can buy some really nice plan lilac duvet and yellow pillows and cream curtains with yellow and lilac on them and cream yellow and lilac scatter pillows well I like them colours
A mute pattern material of a medium lilac with an accent of silver in it looks nice and very classy.
