How do I remove paint from a table?

Question:I bought a table and am planning on refinishing it. Stripped the varnish off the table top. No problem there. The legs however were painted black and under the black they were painted green. Used a paint stripper to get the black layer off. It came off easily. The green paint underneath though is very resistant to stripper. I've applied several coats and left each coat on for long periods of time, like between a half hour and an hour at a time. There are spots that I've managed to get down to the wood but took extreme time and effort to get. Are there any other chemicals I could try? Suggestions?

Answers:
Electric sander

paint thinner
try goo gone
use paint remover it mite help
paint REMOVER please
Use kerosene oil
Walmart has a less toxic spray that in 30 min. you can use a small wire brush for small cracks

after you use paint stripper and are sure all the paint is off

next mineral spirits to clean the wood (clean it very well)

you have just spent a lot of time sanding scrubbing and stripping its important to do a good job cleaning ,

always use lint free cloth, or galls is the same thing

use wipe on stain color of your choice and wipe on in the direction of the wood grain
after it drys add more coats or less to get the look you want
no charts are known for this its still an art

then use steel wool to smooth and re wipe with mineral spirits , repeat as needed

them use wipe on finish coat (easy to use)

use wipe on , follow steps on container and you are DONE

shewww im whiping my sweat just typing that job!
Just work the stripper you have into the surface with a brass brush.
